There are two main things to look out for and consider before switching to a chunky off-road pram tyre. Better yet, these couple of useful hints are great when it comes to swapping out any pram tyres for something other than the originals.
These two key points will hopefully help you make an informed decision over what you use next on your pram especially when it comes to rough terrain:
1. Check your Tyre Size
The first important factor to consider is the obvious one. But when changing tyres, you need to get your sizing correct. To find out what size tyres you can use, simply look on the side of the tyres you wish to change. On there will be your specification. Armed with your sizing you can now look at what tyre of off-road pram tyre you’d like to swap to. Easy!
2. Check your Tyre Clearance
Most chunky pram tyres fit where normal tyres have been before. Although they are chunky in nature, they are not so huge as to narrow the variety of makes and models they can be used on. That said definitely don’t assume because the sizing is correct it’ll simply fit. Taking a moment to visually look at your current tyres and look to see if a wider tyre would rub or jam on anything is paramount. If in doubt, ask us!
