Instead of listing a series of random pumps to sell, we’ve instead made a list showing the main types of pumps you may want to consider when looking for a pram tyre pump. We’ve divided our list into 5 main feature types to help you understand what works best for you.
Option 1: The Budget Pram Pump?
ETC Long Shot Classic Hand Pump
A cheap pram tyre pump isn’t a bad choice, however you’ll have to accommodate some compromises. A budget pram pump will do the job, but nothing more. As a backup pump or a second pump to keep in another location just incase you loose or forget your main pump, it could be a good get out of jail free card when you get caught in a pinch.
Option 2: The Compact Pram Pump?
Beto Super Mini Telescopic Pump
When you’re out and about, carrying yet more things isn’t ideal. But with a compact pump you’re able to have all the benefits without the drawbacks. With a compact pump, many come with a mounting bracket. This can be ideal to fix your pump in place yet out of your way while out and about.
Option 3: The Pressure Gauge Pram Pump?
Beto Pressure Gauge Mini Pump
Running the correct pram tyre pressure is a must for lots of reasons. While other pump options are great at getting you out of a tight spot, you need to run your pressures correctly. A pump with a gauge will help you do just that.
Option 4: The Everything! (Easy access hose and Pressure gauge)
Beto Pressure gauge mini pump with flexible hose
Depending on your buggy or stroller design, your inner tube valve might not be the easiest to access and inflate. Many compact pumps attach straight to the valve with the head of the pump. A challenge can be if the space isn’t big enough or the angle is very tricky to attach the pump head. Worse yet, if you don’t have good access you can put in necessary strain on the valve and wrench it’s join into the tube over time. So, if you want a pump with easier access, a compact pump with a hose or flex attachment could make life a lot easier for you.
Option 5: The Fast Inflation Mini Pump?
Lezyne Sport Drive High Volume Mini Pump
Needing to get moving quick or have large volume pram tyres? A pump with a larger capacity per shot (or stroke of the pump) makes for faster, less tiresome inflation. However, a trade off can be size. So some users prefer to have a larger capacity pump at home and something more compact while out and about.
